Double-sided leather strop 205mm x 67mm, with superfine metal polishing compound and accompanying base (by DMT®). A strop is a leather strip, ideal for polishing the edge of a chisel, plane iron or knife. Stropping is the final stage of the sharpening process and achieving a truly sharp edge. Unlike honing, which removes metal from the bevel, stropping burnishes away any microscopic metal strands from the edge, and polishes the bevel and back of the blade. This leather strop is hand-made in the UK, using quality UK leather.
