Grabo Plus vs Grabo Pro – What Are The Key Differences?
The Grabo Plus vacuum suction cup has quickly become a must-have tool for tilers, landscapers, builders, window fitters and many other trades over the last couple of years.
The ease of which it can help lift large tiles, concrete, granite and other heavy building materials has changed the way in which you can easily move heavy and awkward materials around when working.
However, since Grabo introduced the Grabo Pro 300, a digital version of the popular electric vacuum lifter, users have wondered which one they should buy and which model would work best for them.
In this short article, we break down the key differences between the two models, and provide our recommendations for which one you should buy.
Grabo Plus 220 – Electric Vacuum Tile Suction Cup
The Grabo Plus 220 is the best-selling model in the Grabo range. Since it’s launch, it’s quickly become an essential tool for any professional to carry in their tool bag.
It’s designed to be used on almost any surface, and will lift up to a whopping 170kg of material at once. It’s this lifting capacity that has made lifting items such as large format tiles easier, quicker, and safer.
The Grabo Plus 220 also features an analogue pressure gauge and features a unique seal, which helps secure itself to almost any coarse or smooth surface. It’s ideal for use on porcelain tiles and even rough paving slabs.
The 14.8v battery provides a 90 minute continuous run time, while a full charge will take just 2 hours. The unit itself weighs just 1.6kg, making it practical and lightweight.
Grabo Pro 300 – Electric Vacuum Tile Suction Lifter
The Grabo Pro 300 has been marketed as the “new and improved” model of the Grabo Plus 220. It also features a maximum lift capacity of 170kg and is ideal for lifting thick porcelain and paving slabs.
The main difference with this model is the automatic pressure maintaining function, and the smart digital pressure sensor.
The automatic pressure maintaining function stops the pump from reaching the maximum of 11.6 Psi – as it’s smart enough to know the amount of pressure needed based on the weight of the material being lifted.
The smart digital pressure sensor on the handle detects and maintains the required pressure, and gives read outs in bars, Psi, lbs. and kgs, whereas the Grabo Plus 220 only gives readouts in bars and Psi.
